FORGIVE ME FOR BEING A WOMAN
I shine, I dazzle, I impress. I don’t have to put in so much work to get your attention. No! The lord did that all on his own. I’m a woman!
The smoothness of my skin, the softness of
my flesh, that which you also share but of a different quality. The perfect
curves that pull you in, the pretty face that ignites your forgetfulness. I’m a
woman!
As if that is not enough, I sparkle from
excess intelligence. Enjoy the benefits of being smart and exhibit a moderate level
of wisdom. We make a life, but I get to bring it into the world. Such
responsibility! Do you think the Lord trusts me more now? I’m a woman!
I calm a raging wolf with the tone of my
voice, I’m the face of peace, modesty and love. Don’t you dare label me weak
because I could roar like a lion! The power and strength I posses keeps you
going. I’m a woman!
You raise you hands to strike me. To
disfigure that which the Lord has made perfect. You have that power, you were
born with the strength right? Come and shake me! Wise ass ceremoniously growing
foolish!
And I speak to you, the woman that has made
her words her weapon of defense or mass destruction. It cuts and slashes souls.
Watch it! You are so much more than a killer parrot! Use your words for good!
The creator took his time to make me and he
did the same with you but until you see that, forgive me for being beautiful
from all perspective, FORGIVE ME FOR BEING A WOMAN!
