LEARNING NEW THINGS TO STAY ALIVE
Imagine if we had to learn new things to stay alive. If we had to constantly task our minds with new information and facts to increase our life span? Do you think people will shun ignorance and subscribe to acquiring more knowledge? Well I think they will make it a life goal!
The knowledge I speak about has very little to do with 'going to school or spending 10 years studying a course that lacks real life practicality', NO. That's not exactly what I mean. I'm a strong advocate for education and yes, the exposure and information we get from attending a school adds to our level of knowledge but that is simply not the exact kind of knowledge I'm referring to in this piece.
I attended a life changing conference yesterday in which one of the speakers was Steve Harris, and like we all know- He is a 'two time' college drop out. No, scratch that- He is a 'two time' college drop out with unlimited access to knowledge.
This goes to prove that there exists enough knowledge to be gained by people outside the confines of a school, without the reward of a certificate. Enough life experiences to immerse ourselves in, enough books to read, enough places to travel, enough conversations to engage in, enough questions to ask, enough people to listen to, enough SPLASH TO BE MADE IN LIFE.
I believe we should seek knowledge like our lives depends on it. Strive to fight off ignorance like it is a disease and shun any form of mental limitation. Surround ourselves with friends and people on the same mission of greatness as us. RUN AWAY FROM MEDIOCRITY and slay to the top.
There is no such thing as 'TOO MUCH KNOWLEDGE'. Would you ever limit yourself from getting 'TOO MUCH MONEY'? Would you ever say to a friend ' OH, I HAVE TOO MUCH MONEY, I THINK I'M GOING TO STOP ACQUIRING MORE?'
I know for a fact that Bill Gate, Jeff Bezos, Aliko Dangote, Folorunsho Alakija, Opra Winfrey etc never thought of that
So why put your mind in a box? Let it fly and you will be glad at just how far it will take you
