WHAT YOU DO WHEN YOU FALSELY ACCUSE SOMEONE OF RAPE

Firstly, you just spat on the faces of all rape victims and threw their pain into a deep shit hole. Asides that, you smear and tarnish someone else’s reputation wrongly, possibly changing the course of their life for no good reason. I no longer have to tell you where you are headed when all the pain and suffering of these individuals come for you. In addition, you just shook the hands of future and past rapists, patted them on the back and said — ‘Well done, I always knew what you did wasn’t that deep’.

A RAPE accusation is no joke, people have gone to prison for it, lives have been lost in it, self worth has dwindled because of it, diseases have been transmitted through it, tears have been cried because of it. As if these issues are not serious enough, most individuals still think it wise to wake up in the morning, look left and right, decide that their life is boring, and cry RAPE!

This issue is one that is very sensitive in our society. The animalistic behavior that deprives one the freedom of choice or consent in a sexual activity is not something to be taken lightly. I believe rapists should be imprisoned, there is no doubt that it is where they belong. That is their home. In that same vein, individuals that accuse people falsely of rape should be charged with perverting the Course of Justice.

A recent trend on ‘Nigerian twitter’ saw women speaking up about their rapists; this is something that most rape victims keep to themselves until death, out of shame or fear. It all seemed to be going well until it wasn’t. Until it seemed like a joke. We need to be able to seriously handle rape cases, but this will slowly be lost into a joke if people continue ‘playing’ with the concept of rape, making it easy for the real culprits to escape justice by simply saying- ‘I’m being falsely accused’.

That being said, fix yourself, chase your dreams, live a damn good life, dress well, eat well, find your purpose, stay away from trouble, try to make some money, find a decent person, fall in love, GET A DAMN JOB, try not to travel from Berger to Ajah if it will trend purposelessly later. Do right by yourself.
