'Walking the Talk'
If there is anything January has taught me, it is the importance of 'walking the talk', the need for practicality. This is not to say that I have been oblivious of this fact; far from it. I have only majorly been drawn towards action for the most of January. I was pushed to make moves, take actions, welcome both negative and positive results, solve problems, readjust and move some more. And in all these, there is one basic thing that stands 'walking' out from 'talking' and this is 'Learning'.
Most times we are too reluctant to make moves; be it career, academic, social, relationship etc. because we are afraid to fail or because we've conformed to some societal rules that hold us back from flying or because we have built up walls of fear around us that boxes us into a zone called 'comfort'. Whatever our reasons may be, we find out that when we readjust our perspectives well enough to see that we never fail; we only learn. Only then can we fully enjoy the benefits of 'taking actions'.
No human being is going to come into your house, look for your room and wake you up from your sleep to hand you a job, a career, a husband, a boyfriend, a good result, or a bag of money. No human being will find you in your comfort zone to hand you a bag of success. Except a wonderful mother of course. (That aside)
Newsflash--You have to work! And you have to work with God!
Why?
Well, just so we stay away from too much grammar let's just say - You have to work because you can do it and you have to work with God because you can only do it successfully with him.
Working entails action. Working entails real action. Most times it might not yield immediate result
but 'commitment and consistency' would lead you forward. Once you remain 100% committed to your goals, you will fail learn and you can only be better.
It is therefore safe to say that action that works hand in hand with commitment, consistency and a burning passion to be better could pass so many 'learning' stages but can only lead you to a successful zone.
That being said... Who wants to be successful? Stop thinking, stop talking-- Make a move (with God) today, learn and make a better move (with God) tomorrow.
